Flying cheap to Paris

My family is planning a trip to Paris from Minnesota in the summer of 2015. Where can I find the best deals for a round trip flight? Also when's the best time to book our flight in the summer? Thanks!

Lee, you can compare ticket prices via sites such as Kayak, Farecompare, and Skyscanner. Some will allow you to set up alerts and they will send you an e-mail when the fares drop. I usually fly Delta and check the airline site every few days to track the trends. There's no best time to buy but I find that 4 months out works for me. Flying and buying mid-week also offers some discounts.

IcelandAir flies out of Minneapolis - check them out. We've had good luck flying with them from Denver to Europe and the fares have been lower than other major airlines.

The best way to fly is for "free," that is, using frequent flyer miles. Go to a site like The Points Guy and see if you have the stomach to start getting credit cards and incurring the necessary spending to get points. You have such a long time to act, I think you should try it. ON much shorter notice I was able to top off my account enough for europe roundtrip business class.

I've been watching flights to Paris in the fall, and they've been running around $1300. So I was excited today to see an ad w/ Air France for below 1000. Oh. Euro. Oh. Well.
