Flight transfer at CDG

I am flying from Chicago to Zurich on Air France via Paris. My flight lands at 0810 at CDG Term 2E. My flight to Zurich leaves at 0910 from Term 2F.
Can I make my connection and what is the quickest way. I will not have any checked luggage.
Any suggestions or information is appreciated.
Thanks

I highly doubt you would be able to de-plane, get through customs, walk to Term 2F and be on your plane to Zurich within 60 minutes. I personally like to have a little cushion to ensure I can make my next flight and I wouldn't allow any less than 90 minutes to make the transfer.

Best of luck to you and enjoy your travels!

I agree with Adrienne. That is a super tight connection. But since it was allowed on a single ticket, the airline thinks it's possible. But if you arrive even a bit late, or are in the back of the plane, or if there are lineups at Passport Control, then you may be heading to the Air France desk to get seats on the next available flight.

The CDG website has plenty of information to help make your connection as efficient as possible. This link will give you a starting place: https://www.parisaeroport.fr/en/passengers/flights/connecting-flights

At CDG I like to have 2 hours.
90 minutes is rushed.
60 minutes I never even tried.

It's hard to predict the quickest way because the 2E terminal is really 3 terminals:
2E - Hall K
2E - Hall L
2E - Hall M

Depending on which Hall your plane docks, the process to reach 2F is different and the time necessary varies. Use the website below to check the options

Well Air France sold you the ticket as a single itinerary so they must think you can make it. I'd go for it. Far be it from me to challenge their knowledge of their routes and connection time at CDG. They are probably assuming the flight will arrive about 20 minutes early like it usually does. You may as well as go for the connection unless you have mobility/walking issues because if you miss it, you would probably be put on the KLM flight that leaves an hour later that has a layover in Amsterdam. Just spend a little time looking at the links above so you know your way around at least on a theoretical level. Are you traveling business class by chance? If so, I definitely think the odds are, absent a major delay that you will make it because you will have access to the priority lane for passport control. By the way it will not matter if you have checked luggage because you will not be responsible for getting it to the flight to Zurich. I usually travel even more lightly than usual and check my luggage when I have a tight connection because I find it easier to move quickly through an airport when all I have is a backpack or my crossbody bag. Are you flying Air France for some reason like having points or timing? I ask because there are nonstops to Zurich on United/Swiss from Chicago.

I timed myself on my transit from 2E to 2F in 2022 and it took 1h5m. That was after a 15 minute wait for them to push the stairs up and for the crew to open the door. The Delta flight from Seattle often lands at a tarmac stand on Hall M and you are bused to the terminal.

Is your flight soon? If it’s a way off, maybe there will be schedule changes! Meanwhile I’d look up the next flight times to Zurich and have them handy in case AF has to rebook you. I’d bet there are several a day.

You will go thru security and arrival immigration when you get to 2F.

Once you know your precise terminal go on line and look at the specific instructions for making the transfer so you can hit the ground running. Get as far forward in the plane as possible when booking seats. If there are empty seats further forward perhaps see if you can move before landing for quick exit. Just getting off the plane will burn up much of the time you have. So knowing precisely what you have to do will help.

You follow yellow correspondence signs, you do not exit through immigration and customs. You will clear Schengen immigration along the way to your gate with others transferring.

I would not book something this tight. You will be lucky if you make it. BUT Atlantic flights are often a few minutes early. I am tracking my fall flight right now that has an eta of 1:30 in Milan and it is usually 15 or 20 minutes early. (of course a plane can be late -- ours was two hours late last fall into Paris from Chicago). If you can't get the airline to give you a better transfer, just relax and assume you will be late and the airline will find a way to get you there. I'd have an idea of what is available.

People do make these connections, through there are probably a good number who do not. If AF ticketed you to ZRH through CDG with a 1 hour connect, it is their responsibility to get you to Zurich. Upon CDG arrival, make sure you stay airside and follow the signs for connecting passengers. There is a special passport control for connecting passengers which takes far less time than it does for those terminating at CDG. Customs is a walk through, no time involved.
