Fine Restaurant Recommendations in Paris

Where are you staying? Asking because there might be some in "your" neighborhood.

And when you ask for "fine" restaurants do you mean Michelin starred or are you looking for neighborhood places with good food and service?

Hi OP! To add to Pan’s questions - do you have a preferred price range? Style of cuisine? Modern chic vs old school romantic?

I have a couple of places in mind… but depending on your preferences, they might not suit. 😀

Thanks. We’re staying at the Quai Voltaire on the Seine between the Louvre and the D’Orsay. We’re looking for either Michelin or very good local restaurants with a finely prepared Parisian flair. No need to be in our neighborhood.

I've enjoyed two outstanding meals at Chefs à Table on the r. Trousseau in the 11th. I'm guessing they'll have a Michelin star before long, so do go before their prices go airborne.

We had an excellent meal at Table this past December which is on the list of the top 50 restaurants in the world. Food, service, and wine were all exceptional. Bruno Verjus greeted us and made sure to say goodbye as we left, which I thought was quite lovely.

Any recommendations in Montmartre? Just good, doesn’t need to be Michelin. Small neighborhood places with great food & friendly proprietors, that the locals love.

Are you interested more in the food or the ambience? Each trip to Paris we choose one famous re$$taurant for a memorable experience. Tour d'Argent was worth it for the theatrical experience and the presentation of the numbered ducks. Also fun to see all the rich muckety-mucks dining there with their "nieces." Jules Verne was long enough ago that I don't remember the food but there's a private elevator to take you up to level 2 of the Eiffel Tower. Definitely beats having to stand in those long lines. Last summer we had my birthday dinner at Le Train Bleu. People have been giving it mixed reviews but it is a beautiful restaurant and the service was excellent. It was a bit less expensive than the other two.
