We are booked on the Best of Europe in 21 days in September 2015 & have started looking at hotels as we want to extend our Paris stay for a few nights at the end of our tour. We like small, boutique hotels with character but that won't break our travel budget. Any recommendations? We are looking at Hotel de Seine and it seems like it might be an excellent choice. Has anyone any personal history with that particular hotel and can either recommend it...or not. Thanks for any help you can provide!
and more like it on Tripadvisor
We really like Hotel du Pantheon...it's right across the street from the Pantheon and a short walk to Luxembourg Gardens and all the Latin Quarter has to offer. Not terribly expensive by Paris standards but not bargain priced either. It's very "characterful" - the hotel is themed on famous French women. We've stayed there several times and really enjoyed it! Hotel du Pantheon
Thanks...we have looked at Hotel Clos Medicis and it's on our list of possibles. I did also just now look at Hotel du Pantheon...looks great... unfortunately, already booked solid! Unbelievable! Over a year away! Please continue to send any recommendations...thanks again.
Lined doubt it is booked at all. Most hotels in Paris are not set up to accept reservations more then 6-9 months in advance. Have you emailed hotel directly and just asked( don't use the reservation link) .
Next store to the Hotel Pantheon is its sister hotel the Hotel Des Grand Hommes. Suggest you look at that one too.
Another gem of a hotel is the Hotel Le Regent on rue Dauphine, but do only consider the deluxe rooms there, the standards are beyond tiny( and I am used to small hotel rooms in paris ) super quaint area , so convenient to many places and surrounded by cafes a market etc
About the hotel showing sold out, it may be unable to accept reservations so far in advance. I am having that problem now, too. Calling the hotel or waiting may get you the hotel you want.
I am sure they are not booked...it is just too early to book this far in advance. I would try calling the hotel to see when they start accepting reservations for next summer and then call as soon as you can to book rooms.
Last year we walked by the Hotel Luxembourg Parc, and I took this photo, since it just looked like a nice spot. It's on rue de Vaugirard directly across from Luxembourg Gardens, near the Palais. Great reviews save for the angry one at the start!
Thank you to everyone who responded with suggestions! We particularly liked Hotel le Regent, Hotel Luxembourg Parc & Hotel Esmerelda. Now we just have to decide which one to book...there really are so many to choose from...that's why your recommendations are so helpful...thanks again!
We have used the studio listed below for the past 8 or 9 years. Great location. Close to metro and bus.

In 11 days I will be at the Hotel Europe Saint Severin. If the your feed is still active, I can give you my input of the hotel.
Linda.. Hotel Esmeralda is in a great location... but it is truly a very budget hotel.. no elevator and very steep windy stairs , no ac( if going in summer you will roast in small airless rooms) .. And while I would recommend it for a budget stay.. but its no where near the same as most of the other hotels that have been mentioned on this thread..

We stayed at the Hotel-Luxembourg two years ago and loved our stay. It is tucked back on a quiet street but convenient to the Metro. The hotel was very clean and staff very polite. There is a fantastic bakery right across the street that my husband still talks about. Great hotel and not overly expensive.
