30 minutes to 2 hours. Depends on how many flights arrive at the same time as yours and how many Passport Immigration Border Patrol Customs Agents are on duty to process arriving passengers

Its unclear from your question whether you're refering to the RER train station into Paris, or the TGV station. However, both are on the airport premises and the times to get to each relatively the same. You need to factor in time to clear passport control which can range anywhere from 30 minutes to three hours. Add onto that baggage retreival (tack on at least another half-hour to hour depending upon how busy it is) and clearing customs (which should be a non-event, since if you have nothing to declare you merely go through a door).

The Eurostar train to London departs from Gare du Nord.

Depending on mode of transport and traffic conditions, its a 30-60 minute trip, once on the transport vehicle from CDG to Gare du Nord.

The real unknown is will your flight be on time and how long will the immigration process take.

Pre-purchasing Eurostar tickets is a money saver, but their tickets are line airline tickets, specific to a particular departure.

If London is your destination, why fly to Paris?

Yes, you take a TGV to Lille Europe station and change to the Eurostar there. Just looking in a random weekday in September, there are trains at 1:07 pm, 4:07 pm, 5:09 pm, 7:07 pm.

If my flight was scheduled for 10:30 am arrival, I'd pick the 4:07 pm. Better yet, I'd spend the night in Paris and take an early train from Gare du Nord.

Wherever you join the Eurostar train to London, at either Gare du Nord in Paris or at Lille-Europe in Lille, you cannot just get off one train from the airport and get onto the next to London. The Eurostar check-in has airport style security, and often very long lines in Paris. It is on a separate floor from the rest of the station. Lille doesn't have the luxury of that much space so things are quite cramped.

You will go through ticket check, then security (no hot drinks allowed though) with bag checks and walk through detectors, and then both French and British Border Control officers, and then you are gathered in a waiting area until the rush down the stairs.

You need to be in the queue no less than an hour (officially 45 minutes, up from the old half hour) but I would be there sooner, before the departure time.

There must be more to your story. It seems like a lot of hassle to land in France, go through getting into Paris or Lille and going through all the check-in palaver to go on the Eurostar, when you are already at the airport and there are plenty of flights to London airports from CDG. Or if you can get to Paris from home you must be able to get to London....

Where are you in the process? Do you already have your air tickets and now have changed your destination, or have you got your Eurostar tickets too? Or are you still in the planning stage?

"My information indicates that we can pick up a train from GDG AIRPORT THAT goes thru Lilly France to London"
That information is wrong. The Eurostar trains for London leave from Gare du Nord in the centre of Paris. Yes you can get a train direct from Charles de Gaulle airport to Lille Europe (the name of the station), but then you change to a Eurostar for the rest of the trip to London.

I second what Nigel has said, why are you doing this? It seams a very awkward route, why not fly directly into one of London's airports, if that is where you want to be?

When I flown into CDG I've landed with a carry on only and my Schengen passport stamp done in Iceland. So no baggage, no passport line, just straight to the RER to go downtown (maybe a quick bathroom and ATM stop). I find it takes me right at one hour before I'm on an RER and leaving CDG. I'd guess about 35-45 minutes, plus getting your passport stamped (have heard long wait stories) and baggage (30 minutes after landing), to get to the ticket machines at RER. If you stand in line for the one ticket window, add time for that too.

Unfortunately, the OP is on Delta, which I don't believe stops in Iceland.

This is what I'd do too. The stress evaporates because while a plane may be delayed, even several hours, its usually a good bet it gets there on the scheduled day. I only try to push on if I'm taking an inexpensive train somewhere for which there are hourly or better departures.

One more point to remember for this mysteriously complicated itinerary: France and England are in different time zones. Like the others I do not understand why you don't fly to London and be done with it.
