Final Paris Itinerary based upon Forum suggestions

Based upon suggestions from others on this Forum I revised our itinerary to the following. Before it was suggested that I had too much on the schedule and needed to pare it down. Traveling with my husband and our 2 teenage daughters. (The girls are mostly into reading and history. They don't really care for shopping.)

Day 1 - Arrive in Paris @1:30 p.m. Travel to Hotel and check-in. I had originally thought we should rest and just walk around the area after a 9-hour flight but the suggestion from the Forum was to go and see Notre Dame that day. Visit Shakespeare and Company Coffee Shop.
Day 2 - Eiffel Tower 10:30 a.m. After a walk to Arc de Triumph
Day 3 - The Louve - 2:30 p.m.
Day 4 - Walk around the Marais and possibly the Pantheon.

Day 5 - Leave for Germany
I took out visiting Pere Lechaise and Sacre de Couer due to others suggesting it would be too much to do in such a short trip.

We are staying in the 6th Arrondissement.

Seems to me you would be able to fit in Pere la chaise and Sacre Coeur on day 2, 3 or 4.

Maybe you shouldn't have paid that much attention to what others said as your current plan seems pretty empty. Did you start out by looking at tour suggestions for 3 days in Paris found in many travel guides and web sites?

An idea
One thing that is getting a lot of play this season is The Atelier des Lumieres. Maybe a visit there could be combined with a visit to the Orsay to see the Van Gogh's there.

Thanks, Yes, I looked at tons of Paris guides, videos, vlogs, blogs and have been doing research since last fall.

I do agree that the itinerary has maybe swung a bit too far in the low activity direction. That isn't to say you need to jam pack it full, but for example on your day 2 the walk from the Eiffel Tower from the Arc de Triomphe is a bit more than half an hour. If you spent 2 hours on the Eiffel Tower and walked to the Arc de Triomphe, that would be three hours max.

Similarly, what's happening on day 3 before the Louvre? Nothing wrong with sleeping in and having a relaxing morning of course -- but if you want to do something else you certainly have time.

My personal preference is to have one "big ticket" item each day as you have here, but then also have a secondary list of "to dos" that you can pick and choose from as you feel fit. The key is to not feel bad if you don't get to all the secondary items or if you make a spur of the moment change.

I think you will enjoy this itinerary. It gives you plenty of time to follow the mood of the day with walks, parks, patisseries, etc. A great part of Paris is it’s feel, not just sites.
