A high point of my visit to Pairs in May 2014 was discovering the outdoor World War I "Fields of Battle" photos. Amazing photos, descriptions in English, free, not crowded. On display until August 4th on the railings surrounding The Jardin du Luxembourg and directly in front of the Palais du Luxembourg. Then it goes to London.

Thanks for the tip. I will be looking for this exhibit when I visit London in late August, early September of this year. I am especially interested in displays pertaining to World War I (eg,. remodeled Imperial War Museum).

"...pertaining to World War I...." Both in Vienna and Berlin not until late June/July will the special exhibits (Sonderausttellungen) on the war in the Army Museum (Heeresgeschichtliches Museum) and the German History Museum (Deutsches Historisches Museum) on Unter den Linden be opened, like the IWM in London. If you're going to be in Linz or close to it, at Schloss Linz is the special exhibit on the war of 1914 in Upper Austria going on until Nov.
