Favorite wineries near Colmar?

I’m looking for recommendations for wineries in the Colmar area that you’ve enjoyed.

We’re staying in Colmar for 4 nights this June with my sister and her husband who are into wine. My husband and I don’t drink, and I’ve never been to a wine tasting so I’m pretty clueless. But we thought we’d spend a day driving through the countryside visiting a few wineries, being their chauffeurs. We will have a car. Can we expect to be able to order food along with the wine? Are teenagers allowed (16)? Any other tips or things we should know in advance?

It's been many years, but as I recall, there is a "wine route" road going North out of Colmar towards Strasbourg that goes through many small villages ("Route des Vins"). There are wineries in each one that are very small, family-operated places. I don't recall any of them serving food, but they were all very friendly and helpful. They and the road are sign-posted on the entire route.

Stay in one of the charming wine villages instead of Colmar. We stayed in Strasbourg and then went to Riquewehr for several days. There are many villages to chose from.
