Husband and I in Paris over Thanksgiving Day.
Have read tons of websites/reviews.
Anyone here have a favorite/must do/secret place for dinner?
Thanks a ton.
Are you aware that the French don't celebrate Thanksgiving?
Dinner on Thanksgiving Day will be the same as dinner on any other Thursday. It is not a holiday in France, or anywhere else in Europe for that matter. To the best of my knowledge, Thanksgiving is only a holiday in the U.S. and in Canada. In Canada it's celebrated October.
Thanksgiving dinner will be served in this restaurant -

See their website for details.
I trust David Lebovitz on all things food and Paris. Here are his thoughts on Thanksgiving in Paris:
There are a few places that serve Thanksgiving lunch and dinner, in order to cater to the expat crowd. I'll try to write some of them down (in addition to Thanksgiving restaurant mentioned above) tomorrow. They're not cheap though! You'll pay for the privilege of eating turkey and cranberry sauce. . .
Thanksgiving is just another day in Paris (sadly). But there are places around the city that honor the US holiday. Here are a couple of them:
the American Church in Paris (although on Saturday, 29 November) : http://www.acparis.org
and a restaurant, Le Saint-Martin

I am sure there are others.
Any meal in Paris is a thanksgiving meal - thanks for allowing me to be in Paris!
Ah, Chani ... so true. I had to cancel a stay in Paris this past April and I am still sad about it!
I know last year the restaurant Chez Pierrot (one of my favorites!) had a special Thanksgiving dinner with traditional food. Maybe this year they will too?
Oh, Norma. That is so sad. I've been pining for another visit . . . my last was way back in 2010, so I'm working on about a week June-July 2015.
