Good afternoon,
I am considering booking a Fat Tire bike tour of Versailles. Has anybody done this tour? Recommendations?
Also, I had considered booking the Fat Tire tour of the Seine combined with a summit tour of the Eiffel tower. Worth the money?
I have already booked the Fat Tire tour to Giverny to tour the Monet gardens.
Thanks,
Ryan
We've used them in London, Paris, Berlin and Barcelona. Highly recommended.
Hi Ryan, we did the tour to Giverny in Oct 2016. We met the guide at the train station and traveled together to Vernon. In Vernon we had about 45 minutes to walk around the town and buy picnic supplies. We took a short walk to a garage where the bikes were kept. It took another 45 minutes to get everyone assigned to a bike. We rode the bikes a short distance to a park where we had lunch for 45 minutes. After that we rode another 15 minutes to Giverny. We parked the bikes and the guide gave us tickets to tour Monet's house and gardens on our own. We met the guide 90 minutes later, rode back to Vernon, put the bikes back in the garage, and took the train back to Paris. We thought we would be riding the bikes on a scenic path by the river. Actually, you're biking on a dirt path that follows the river but isn't really near it. It was a pleasant experience but we felt that it took a lot of time.
