Hi,
Can anyone recommend a family friendly resort in the Provence region? We are open to location but somewhere near Avignon, and the Luberon area. I'd love to not be too far from a village but also have some space for the kids to run around. I've been able to find some great high end resorts. But we're a family of four and I'd like to stay under $500 usd per night whether that's in one family room or two individual rooms. Going in late June..

Time of year, length of stay and car or no car?

Try checking gites-de-france website. We have found places with large grounds, pools and swings in different locations in France. A very reputable service, better than AirBandB, IMO. You might find on that site, or on Booking.com, a large house with lots of amenities. Our last place was in the Dordogne region near La Roque Gageac (10 min. away) on the grounds of a small chateau for our family of seven. It was called Le Petit Fort (on gites-de-france). It was about $3000.00 for ten nights and had all the amenities we could want, and was close to many sights and activities. Try them and input your area to see what comes up. Booking.com has been helpful for us over the years as well. Good luck!
I highly recommend Domaine de Fontenille. When I was there last May there were several families who seemed to enjoy the expansive grounds and pool. The food and service were truly outstanding. It feels very remote and relaxing but is close to smaller Luberon villages (Lourmarin, Lauris) and an easy but drive to some of the larger more touristy towns.
