Eze Village without garden worth it?

I plan to go to Monaco today, Christmas Day and thinking of stopping at Eze Village. I know the garden at the top is close today. Is it worth to go to the village in this situation? Thank you and Merry Christmas to you all.

The garden is on the scenic (south facing) portion of the Eze hilltop. You can get glimpses of the spectacular views down toward Beaulieu-sur_Mer, Villefranche, and Nice as you climb up through the shop-lined narrow streets from the car park of bus stop, but you will not get the jaw dropping vistas you will experience from the viewpoints in the garden. The "garden" itself is full of native Mediterranean plants, so most things look like cactus, but they are well displayed and interspersed with some lovely statutory. Just the views are worth the €4 winter rate admittance charge, IMO.

Of course, if it were open this time of year you can always make a reservation at the Château de La Chèvre d’Or bar for cocktails and enjoy the view. Be prepared for your credit card to be slightly melted when they return it to you, however.
