Eze Village - How do I get up there if I don't have a car?

I will be staying at Chateau Eza up in Eze Village and will not have a car. Is it best to take a bus or taxi? Any tips getting in and out of Eze?

Thank you!

You don't say from where you are arriving, but I will assume Nice. You can take either, but I have only taken the bus. I take taxis, but I believe that ride would be just as easy and much less expensive on the bus (unless you are arriving from your international flight and then it might be worth it). Just take the right bus, obviously. I believe it is the high bus route as compared to the low bus route. Sorry, I'm sure someone will pop up with the French name for the high bus as it momentarily escapes me. Eze is one of my favorite villages. Just beautiful. Have a great time. Wray

If you're willing to spend the money, a taxi from Nice to Eze Village will of course work. But the bus works fine. There are two lines. Number 82 runs every day, eight times a day, and ends in Eze. Schedule here: http://www.lignesdazur.com/horaires_ligne/?rub_code=6&lign_id=1063&part_id=%PARTNER%&thm_id=0

Number 112 runs Monday through Saturday, six times a day, and goes from Nice through Eze to Monaco. Schedule here: https://www.departement06.fr/documents/Import/servir-les-habitants/112.pdf

You can also take a train or bus to Eze sur mer (frequent service). However, to get to Eze Village from Eze sur mer, you then need to walk (steeply uphill) or take bus number 83. Here's that schedule: http://www.lignesdazur.com/horaires_ligne/?rub_code=6&lign_id=1077&part_id=%PARTNER%&thm_id=0

These three bus lines are the only way in and out of Eze, besides a taxi or a long and steep downhill walk. As compensation, the views from Chateau Eza should be great.

Chateau Eza, for a fee, does offer a car service that will pick you up and bring you to the hotel.
