Eze trail

We are for fairly fit 67 years olds
We walk 4 miles a day on flat sea level paths
And are thinking about taking a bus to eze village &
Walking down to eze de mar
Any one who has done this walk?

The Nietzsche path is a proper hiking trail, it is uneven, with steps, gravel, rock. See here for an example, there for another one. The negative height difference of about 1,000 feet can be hard on the knees, and you need shoes with a good grip. A walking stick would help. It is stunning, though.

I hiked up a few years ago. I was 52 and in OK shape (and alone with an empty water bottle). It’s very steep and there are big boulders to “hoist” yourself up on. BUT I’m glad I did it. I did NOT hike back down (I Ubered back to Villefranche) there are lots of loose stones and I felt that I would likely twist an ankle.
