We will return to La Rochelle, France, on the west coast as it was delightful three years ago.

Île de Ré and/or Île d'Oléron. Both stunning. Rent bikes and you can ride around the islands on the bike trails. It’s one of my favorite areas of France.

Hi. If you have a car, an hour from La Rochelle, visit La Tremblade, a typical oyster port, and, not far away, Mornac sur Seudre, a very pretty village. And 5 km north of La Rochelle, near L'Houmeau, you can also go eat at the Port du Plomb. This is where the people of La Rochelle go to eat to avoid the crowds at the old port, and unlike La Rochelle, there is a sunset over the sea.
