Evening Trip for Dinner: Cannes or Villefranche-sur-Mer

Hi,

I hope all is well, and thank you in advance for reading.

My family and I will be planning an evening trip to dinner from Nice.
We would like to walk around after dinner and explore the town for as long as we can before going back to our hotel in Nice.
We plan on arriving in the destination by about 7 PM, taking an uber there and back to Nice and maybe staying out until about 11:30 PM.

We were thinking about going to Cannes (Le Suquet) or Villefranche-sur-Mer.

Which one would you recommend? We are leaning towards Villefranche-sur-mer as its closer by car and small enough to explore at least half of it by night.

Thank you

good morning

I responded on your other thread earlier in the year but didn't notice your all number name.

Of course you can call yourself anything you want, but I notice that this thread hasn't had other answers. I personally nearly didn't open it because that sort of a name is often used by spammers.

Now, having remembered your other thread I know you're not a spammer, but I did expect spam when I opened this. So others may pass over without opening after seeing the type of user name.

This isn't criticism but just a thought that you might get more traction with a more usual type of name.

As for myself - in all my trips to the area, most winters for many years, but not since covid (but maybe in a couple of weeks or so) I've never visited Cannes, it isn't on my list, I prefer the area east of Nice, especially Villefranche-sur-Mer and Monaco. I've been going to Monaco since 1972. I'm afraid we don't really go out for dinners either - so I'm afraid I'm useless for this question.

But if you want a nice place, I will say we really like Villefranche-sur-Mer.
