No doubt you have all heard that the channel tunnel has been stopped to all traffic today. Seems to be migrant trouble and protests.
Eurostar:
"The closure of the Tunnel is due to industrial action by MyFerryLink workers from the port of Calais, blocking the tracks with rubble and burning tyres."
Yes and then migrants took advantage of the blocked trucks to open the back doors on the semis and jump aboard . . . as of this writing (8 pm Tuesday Paris time), Eurostar has still not resumed service.
I've noticed on many recent BBC reports that the migrants seem to be becoming more aggressive (desperate), and authorities are having a hard time dealing with the situation. Many of them seem to want to go to the U.K. and don't want to stay on the continent any longer than necessary (not sure why the U.K. is so much more popular than other European locations?).
They have formed camps near the Chunnel entrance and try to sneak into the UK all day, every day.
Perhaps for the fish and chips?
