Hey All!
How far ahead should we book Eurostar tickets going from Paris to London the first week of August? First trip to Europe! Thanks!
Tickets for those dates should be available now, and will only get more expensive as time passes.
You should purchase your tickets when you feel reasonably sure of your plans (they are expensive to change dates or times).
A good idea is to read the Eurostar information on the website The Man in Seat 61 to familiarize yourself with purchase, traveling, etc.
As long as you are sure that you will indeed be traveling to London from Paris by train, you should buy your tickets right now. The lowest price tickets are exchangeable on a fee-free basis up to 7 days before travel (after this, a $40 fee per person per journey applies). The tickets are non-refundable and you will have to pay the fare difference but as long as you make any change up to 7 days before travel, you really have nothing to lose by buying now if you are sure that you will be traveling by train between Paris and London.
Great, will purchase now. Hotels and flights are all booked so plans are definite. Appreciate the help!
