Eurostar one way v round trip

Another Eurostar question. I was doing more research on seat61 about Eurostar seating. I’ve yet to book my tickets for my December trip! I was supposed last week but got busy. I will be traveling from London to Paris as we are spending time in Paris and leaving from CDG so I really only need a one way. However, I read that round trip tickets are less expensive and I changed the options on Eurostar website and indeed they are. Has anyone every booked RT if they only need a one way? Is this ok to do? The price difference isn’t huge but saving a little money is never bad. I just don’t know if it would be acceptable. Thanks!

I have done that before, nobody seems to care if you don't use the return ticket. At least, there is no repercussion for doing it that I am aware of.

The Man seems to think it's OK to play with tickets as long as no one is checking tickets when you get off the train. But even so, since you will not be using the train again they have no recourse.

Also do some Eurostar research, things are not going well for them since Brexit and it's supposed to be pretty crazy at St. Pancras these days.

If you’re trying to save a little money, change the website from $ to €. The tickets are cheaper but all the info is in French. Look at the English version first to understand seating, then change to € to book. Just book your one way trip.
