Eurostar check in Paris

At Gare Nord, Paris how much time should be allowed for check in to the boarding? Rick's Paris book says 45 minutes, is this accurate? We are 2 couples on RS Tour both on Eurostar with different departure times next Friday? Thank you for advice.

We had a 10ish departure in July. We got there 1 hour before and with the pre check in-line and then 2 passport control lines, I thought 1 hour was comfortable. We were a group of 6 and I didn't want to miss our reservation.

There were some people who had reservations on the train before ours who were running to catch their train and get through the screening and lines.

I agree with Mona, I usually try to target arriving at the Gare du Nord about an hour before my train is scheduled to depart to make sure I can make it through all the lines.

I wouldn't cut it any closer than an hour.

I've seen some really horrendous lines upstairs there. Border crossings into the UK aren't getting any easier.

Don't get there late.

How much time do you have between the two departures?

If you do get to the upstairs waiting areas early (there are two for general tickets depending on your position on the train and another waiting area for business class) you may have time for a quick cup of coffee and sit for 10 minutes and watch the "late" passengers arrive out of breath and with their eyes spinning.
