Eurostar Cancellations

Currently the majority of Eurostar services to and from London are cancelled due to a last minute strike by Eurotunnel Workers, which started at 11am.

Eurostar are currently unsure how whether this action will extend beyond today.

This is in the French forum as it must be French workers to strike with little or no notice. They are wanting a discretionary bonus 3,000 Euro. EuroTunnel have offered a third of that.

This also affects the vehicle shuttles which are also suspended, with pax diverted to ferry services.

It's the employees of Getslink who operate the trains that went on strike. Fingers crossed they come to a figure for those bonuses quickly and people can get to their holiday destinations.

A couple checked out of my hotel here in London hoping to make the last Eurostar to Brussels.

Before leaving, they checked on availability at the hotel in case they had to return.

They returned a few hours later.
