Has anyone who has recently traveled to France used this form? If so, is it required for travel to France from the United States? This is the link to the site https://www.euplf.eu/web/index-2.html
Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.
Things do change fast these days, but I for from the US too France on April 15th she was required to show the QR code showing that I had completed the form when I was checking in for my flight. They didn’t scan the QR code - just looked at it.
Thanks so much. This is very helpful. Did they email the QR code after you filled out the application?
Thanks again.
We just got back. We filled the form out online and saved it to our travel folder. When Air France sent out the Ready to Fly email, we uploaded the form along with our CDC cards. No one ever asked to see it, but we took a paper copy along as well just in case.
Thanks so much. I appreciate your help.
We're on a RS tour and enter Europe in Italy moving on to France at the end. We filled out the PLF for Italy. When we looked at France, it said you only need to fill it out if arriving by air. So, I guess we don't need one for France as well. It's very difficult to find information that actually answers your questions. Help.
Thanks a lot. It is confusing. But everyone's response has been helpful to me.
We uploaded it to our airline's travel ready site before travel. On the plane they passed out paper forms to fill out for anyone who had not uploaded it. I doubt anyone looks at them, but I suppose if someone on the plane had Ebola or something they would then be able to track everyone down. I would be surprised if they are bothering with COVID exposure at this point since it is everywhere.
Janet, you are correct on the COVID. Just returned yesterday, and if in France, the atmosphere would be "what pandemic?"
We filled it out for our 4/26 arrival in Paris. No one ever asked to see it. United only required we say we did it — not to upload it. Customs did not ask at all. And agree with others — no real indication of pandemic concern here. Some mask wearing but most aren’t except on metro (great compliance there — small number are maskless).
Hi all. I just wanted to make sure I understand the dplf form and who needs to fill it out. From what I’ve seen, it’s only for arrival by air? We’ve been in the EU for about 2 weeks and this past week in the UK for one week.
Taking the Eurostar to Paris from London and none of the Eurostar notices mentioned it at all. Saw on the EU site to fill it out, it just specified entering via air.
Thanks for helping to clarify!
Here is the latest update that you can find on the eurostar.com website:
As of today, Monday 1st August, passengers traveling from the UK will no longer need to present a vaccination, recovery or negative test certificate. This applies to all travellers, irrespective of nationality or vaccination status.
In this context I suppose that the PLF is no longer of any use
As of August 1, the form has been discontinued for all entries (Air, land, or sea)
Wonderful, thanks for your info!!
