Will be returning rental car at Marseille airport Sunday morning next May for flight at 12:00 PM.
Does anyone know how far away Europcar rental office is from terminal? Is it walkable or do they provide shuttle.
Need to plan how much ahead of flight do I need to get to airport.
Don't want to miss flight to Italy.
Thanks for your assistance.

That is the official airport map. "Navette Autocars" means rental car shuttle bus, "Retour Vehicules" shows the rental car return location. I think you can count on it.
We picked up our Europcar rental at the Marseille airport in July 2015 and actually returned it at the Nice airport 3 1/2 weeks later. For Marseille, there was a small, stand-alone Europcar building in the middle of a lot full of cars, southeast of the terminal. Mid-morning on a Saturday in July, there was a very long, very very slow line of American and Dutch (and maybe some French) tourists waiting to get up to the 3 rental counter windows in that small building. Hopefully turning in a car won't require a lengthy process, and I'm not even sure that at that airport you drop cars off where you pick them up.
It was maybe a 4 or 5 minute walk from the terminal to that small Europcar building, which was also a 1 minute walk from the bus stop for the buses that go into downtown Marseille. You may be aware that the airport is actually some distance west of the city itself.
I returned a Europcar rental car in Marseilles in 2014. You can walk from the drop off location to the terminal. I could easily see the terminal from where we returned the car. I don't know if they have shuttle because I did not use it because we dropped the car off the afternoon before our 6 AM flight and spent the night at a nearby hotel.

Sounds like a good idea.
We were thinking of spending the day and night In Aix and driving to the airport early Sunday morning.
We can always visit Aix on another day prior to our flight.
Maybe we will go directly to Marseille airport and check into a hotel early Saturday.
We can take the train into Marseille (never been there) and return that night to the airport hotel.
This will allow us sufficient time to return the car Sunday morning and make our flight.
Did you like your hotel and if so what was the name?
Thanks again.

We stayed at the Pullman Marseille Provence. We liked it -- my children loved the pool. There are two Pullmans in Marseille and be sure not to look at Pullman Marseille Palm Beach, which is about 30 minutes away. The Pullman Marseille Provence offers a free shuttle to the airport. There was only one shuttle van when we stayed there and it was not available when we went downstairs. It returned about 30 minutes later and we arrived at the airport at around 5:30. Our flight was scheduled to leave at 6:20 AM so we were worried but it was fine. I mention it only because the shuttle did not operate on a schedule. It just sort of left when guests were ready to go. At the airport the lines were really long and slow moving for our flight and the Air France staff appeared not to care and we did not think that we would get on the airplane and then suddenly at around 5:50, people started to work efficiently and lo and behold, everyone was processed and we were on the airplane and took off very close to on time.
I'm not sure if this helps, but there are buses that go direct from Aix to the Marseille Airport twice an hour, stopping at Aix TGV train station on the way. If your last stop in France is Aix, you could return the car there upon arrival, then take the bus to the airport upon departure.
