EuroDisney: Stay in Paris or Inbetween?

My wife and I wish to take our daughter to EuroDisney for her 6th birthday in June 2024, BUT also enjoy a few days in Paris before heading to Nice and the Italian Riviera. I've read that the hotels in the parks themselves tend to be pricy so we'd either stay somewhere between the parks and Paris or in Paris itself. I envision spending only one day in EuroDisney to just get a general taste of it, plus that's as much as we'd likely have the energy for. So, I'd appreciate thoughts on where to stay (not necessarily specific properties) and also general reminiscences on visits to EuroDisney with young children.

Just a note that hotel prices in Paris will be creeping up already by June in the runup to the Olympics - so hotels at the park may not be much more expensive than hotels in town, in summer 2024

Certainly Kim can answer this better because I'm writing from memory, but I wonder if the hotels at the Porte de Vincennes/Porte Dorée station on the RER wouldn't be a bit less. You are still within Paris but also on the direct line to Disney.

The RER does not stop at Porte de Vincennes or Porte Dorée. The nearest stops are Nation (not far from Porte de Vincennes) and Vincennes. Both are great places to stay, with Vincennes being slightly cheaper. I am seeing plenty of well-rated hotels at about €150/night or slightly less in those areas on random dates in June. The Appart'Hotel Victoria in Vincennes looks especially good for a couple with a child - I've never been, it just popped up on my search.
