Just a heads up that next summer France is hosting the European Soccer Championships (third most popular sporting tournament after the Olympics and the World Cup) across ten cities. Also the tournament has been expanded to 24 teams from 16, so it will attract more fans than ever.

I was thinking of doing the very same thing:) I will probably have some family obligations next summer that could make attending the tourney iffy. But could definitely get away for a long weekend in Paris for the finals.

My Spanish born husband has decided we will be travelling to France to follow the Spanish national team around for the group stage. Makes it hard to make plans when the draw won't be made until December. I look forward to the adventure of it all, especially after seeing the Champions League 1/4 final game between Real and Athletico Madrid in April.
