eSIM from Orange

I posted this under the Europe Forum, but most of my needs will be in France so I am posting here as well. Any thoughts appreciated.

I am leaving next week for Netherlands, Spain, and France. I have never used these devices and am considering getting eSIM from Orange.

I am not extremely tech savvy ....

Can I use it in ALL countries on the SAME trip/purchase since it is eSIM?

Is it easy to install and use? All the reviews make it sound like a piece of cake!

Any tips? I have read reviews and know that I buy before leaving and activate when I get there. I must confirm my iPhone model. I will have a French phone number so my phone will be inaccessible (yikes) That is about what I understand.

The fact that it is an esim doesn't make it particularly "usable", it would be the parameters of the actual plan/esim you buy to allow it to be utilized in different ways (how much data is available, where it is based for "home" before getting charged more money or fees for using it somewhere else). I am not COMPLETELY well versed in this, but I happened to look at the Orange plans last week. The one where I wanted to utilize data/talk/text had different prices and different parameters than the "tourist" data only plan that they were pushing on the site.

They should come with instructions when you purchase on how to install, but first make sure you have an unlocked phone (or can get it unlocked) before you invest in one. Also make sure that your plan is good for those countries (or will be charged the same low rates for usage in all the countries).

You can use whatsapp or other messaging apps while you are on your French number.
