Equestrian Academy of Versailles

Has anyone here seen this show? As I am interpreting website, there is one day in the last week of April when we might do this - Wednesday, Apr 27. It seems a 38 euro ticket gives access to the palace at 11:30 and the show at 3PM. Weighing the pros and cons. Have no interest in seeing the palace interior again and dislike crowds, but really like horses. Have always visited off-season so might like to rent a golf cart and see the spring gardens for an hour or two. IF we go, would probably arrive in time for show and visit gardens afterward.

Any thoughts on what time we would need to be at gate to make it to show at 3?
Is it a good show? (Have seen similar in Vienna, Jerez, Piba. Thinking it's not as elaborate as Vienna.)
Is there any option to buy a ticket for the horses but not the palace? (Don't think so, but that would be better.)
Is the golf cart rental anywhere near the stables? (Would like to see more of the gardens than is reasonable on foot.)
Thanks for your help!

Barbara,
Thank you so much for this. Google Translate and I are working on the ticket page right now. I'm getting an error message no matter how I enter my cell number. I've tried +1 before my number, and I've tried leaving off the +1 after choosing the US flag icon. I'm sure it's user error somewhere on my part. Any ideas?

Hi again Ruth, I think the US mobile number problem has to do with recognized phone number area codes. I tried 2 different mobile numbers with my FNAC account: the one with area code 424 was immediately accepted, the one with 310 was not. The FNAC system must have an incomplete listing. In both cases I used the US flag drop-down +1. For midweek I think it’s likely you’ll be able to get tickets at the FNAC store.

Barbara, I was almost there on the second link you sent, when I got involved with another issue on my phone with a friend. When I got that resolved, my tickets had timed out! 😩 Will try again in a few minutes when I calm down. This is the farthest I’ve gotten, so I think it’s going to work. I have to run much of it through Google translate, which really slows down the process. Persevering. You’ve been so helpful! Merci!

Thanks, Jet. I've tried 00 and every possible configuration of parentheses, no parentheses, spaces, no spaces, phone, laptop.... All with no luck.

Barbara, Thanks again for helping. Last night I emailed my hotel and asked them to buy the tickets for me. Waiting to hear.
Today the academy emailed me to use the website www.bartabas.fr, but that goes to the same FNAC site that doesn't recognize my phone number. Will let you know when I succeed! And somehow I will get those tickets!

Success! I emailed the academy again and explained the problem with the website. They wrote me back and offered to reserve my tickets.

If it’s a good weather day, the plan is to take the train out to Versailles early afternoon, watch the riding exhibition, tour the stables, then rent a golf cart to joyride through the gardens. Thanks all for your help.
