Hi, I just purchased a timed entry ticket (passport) to the Palace for 12 pm on a Saturday. I'm going to do the visit in reverse order (Trianon first, then Grand Canal/gardens, and then Palace). The ticket says the timed entry is for entrance at Point A (Palace entry). If I enter via Porte Saint-Antoine, will the staff be picky about that 12 pm entry time? I'm trying to see if I can enter the Trianon area prior to 12 pm since this is usually not the busiest part of the Palace.
Hi, Gabriel,
The Trianon opens at noon, so no-go on prior entry there. On the website:
"The Palace and the estate of Trianon are open every day except on Mondays. The Palace opens at 9:00 am, the estate of Trianon opens at noon."
Looks like you have 30 minutes from the timed entry to enter the palace without waiting in line.
timed entry
Passport tickets with timed entry grant priority admission and are valid for thirty minutes every hour, at 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.
Priority admission to the Palace is permitted once only at the booked time on the ticket. There is no timed entry for the estate of Trianon.
Thanks. Can you enter the park from Porte Saint-Antoine? I know the park is open a lot earlier and is free.
You can enter the Queens Gate at 7:00.
