Entry time limit post-vaccination: France 6 months. Anyone enter France near to 6m point?

Read the Entry Rules for several European countries, re maximum time-limit post-vaccination.
6 months is limit for France, Switzerland, Denmark
7 months for Croatia
12 months Slovakia
9 months Austria (was 12 months, but changed last week)
___ many countries do not mention a time limit, but as we get nearer or into 2022, they'll probably start realizing it's been some time since people have been vaccinated. Hopefully, the annual boosters talked about in 2020 do not become every 6 months (if you want to travel) !!

So, has anyone entered France near to the 6month point after vaccination?
Did immigration patrol mention any time limit for remaining in the country?

It seems could enter one day prior to 6months, and stay for as long as your visa is valid.
My guess is there's no mechanism to track & limit the days for each visitor.
Thoughts?

The evidence shows that over time, the protection the vaccinations give wanes, hence much of Europe is offering a 6 month booster (mine is on Saturday).

Why would you want to risk getting infected or even worse, infecting others? Get the booster before travelling.

Where are you getting these "entry rules?" I just checked the French Interior Ministry website and there is no mention of a six month limit.

I entered France six months and 5 days after my second shot. All I was asked for was proof of vaccination. I showed my Pass Sanitaire.

How many countries besides the US are even allowing boosters for the general population yet? AFAIK, no country is requiring their own citizens to even get boosters. No one has proposed changing the definition of "fully vaccinated" to include mandatory booster shots every 6-9-12 months, and no scientific consensus yet on how long protection lasts anyway. In the absence of that it would be a pretty convoluted stretch to change policies this way.

It is good to read the info on each country’s office information site. Sounds like you may have read an older article somewhere). In September Croatia was 12 months past last shot (which led me to believe you may not be checking official sources). It’s a moving target as situations progress and change, but the information is out there.

I notice that all your questions are to do with vaccinations and border crossings. It might be easier if you explain what you are trying to do, and what you are trying to avoid. Then maybe we can help.

It certainly seems that you are trying to avoid something...

Excellent question, Nigel.

As Frank said, i haven't seen any requirement for a vaccine to be within the past six months for entry to France. And I follow this stuff closely.

It isn't my turn to get the booster yet. Not for another 6-7 weeks for the 3rd Pfizer shot, which I certainly will do. My trip isn't planned to start until May 2022 at the earliest, maybe June going into July, but if another booster is called for ( hopefully not ), then so what? I don't guess, I'll do it anyway. Likewise with the mask, mandated or optional, wear it anyway.

@all, thanks. Vaxxed AZ. Travel intended: various purposes; months (thus time limit concern) and multi-country w/ "lesser" conditions for entry to (a) country (b) public-places within countries. Countries green/orange (red ..pockets) moving target and trade-offs. QRcode incompatible with EU and individual country "green"/"health" passes. Know ppl who had hassles entering public places; event/biz blew one's trip.

So, first time-block: parts of Spain, France, Italy. (prefer start north, proceed south).

Travel conditions sources
1. Gov't websites and embassies (sometimes no answer, wrong eg. Portugal says "no" but rules say "entry from Spain by road or train is possible without restriction" (presumably if in EU for 14 days))

  1. https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/world.php (air only, gets its info from gov't PRs, convenience of single website. But info can be wrong(outdated, smth missed in summarizing, etc ...eg. still shows 12 months for Austria). As of today, IATA shows max time period for entry as follows: France no mention. Denmark & Switzerland show 12 months.
  2. News releases very recent (ie, maybe not yet reflected in IATA or even the gov't websites eg. Austria last week limit changed to 9m)
