entering France from Switzerland

Hello,
My friend and I will be flying into Geneva on Aug 31st and then driving into France on our way to Annecy and Chamonix. A past home exchange partner in Geneva mentioned something about a "pass sanitaire", which could be the case for Switzerland as well, she wasn't sure.

When I look this up on the French Gov website, I can't figure out what exactly is needed, it seems as if the pass sanitaire is for large group events. It says that we only need proof of vaccination, we both have our US vaccination cards.

Does anyone know if the typical US vaccination card is all that is needed to fly into Switzerland and go into France?

Thanks very much in advance for any information you may be able to share.

Liz

If you do a search of this site you will see other discussions on this topic. (All you actually have to do is go to the France section and scroll down a few posts.)

As of now, some people are able to find places to give the QR codes for the pass while others haven't. Most Americans are reporting that their CDC card is working just fine.

And by August 31 more than likely the rules will change anyway as they seem to be changing every few days/weeks.

To fly into Switzerland, you currently need proof of vaccination (CDC card) and the entry form. You can find a discussion about the entry form here:

Sorry, I can't help with France, but the US embassy site should have the info. you need. Also, as your flight is not until Aug 31, keep in mind the entry requirements might change before then. So, while it's good to get the info. now, be sure to double check everything prior to your flight.

Have a great trip!!
