I am looking for an english speaking guide who can assist me in late January to visit the Saint Germain en Laye Chateau(museum of archaeology) and nearby parish church where some of the remains of the English King James II are interred.
The tourist office in Saint Germain-en-Laye may be of help to you.
thank you. I do not speak French but will attempt to contact them.
I don't have an answer but am glad to have someone interested in the collection there. Note: different rooms/floors are open/closed different hours of the day due to staffing shortages. Therefore, if you have a specific period you want to see, you may want to either get the rooms' opening hours beforehand or arrive in the morning to synchronize with the opening and closing. We were locked out of the Gallo-Roman collection twice before seeing the collection on our third try.
Thanks. I have requested assistance from the local tourism office to find a guide for the chateau and church.
