I know Rick Steves recommends ripping the tour book apart and taking the parts you want along with you. However I prefer to have it on my phone so I can travel lighter and not have to keep track of papers while I'm traveling. Is there a way to find it in electronic form without having to retype everything?
Yes, the Kindle versions are available on Amazon. I downloaded "The best of Spain" in Oct. 2018 onto my Android phone while doing the My Way Spain tour.
I preferred the electronic version when I was exploring the cities. I try to avoid looking like a tourist standing on the street with a map or guide book open.
I bought the RS London book on iTunes and had it on my phone and iPad for a trip there. Much more convenient than a paper book.
And some of his walking tours are available for free in audio format on the Rick Steves Audio Europe app.
I’m adding to Melissa’s post about Audio Europe app post. I compared some of RS Venice and Rome city walks between the app and book and they are the same. Download what you want within the app. Once downloaded it is available offline in airplane mode. The only problem I had was that the walk map on the app was too small to follow so you may want to copy that page from the guide book if you want the map.
