For those that have taken the RS Paris in 7 days tour- When is a good time to book visit to Eiffel Tower during the tour? We arrive on start date and leave on end date. Spending extra nights coming and going in Iceland.
Looking at the itinerary, I'd probably do it on Day 2. You'll do Ile de la Cite in the AM, a lunch break and then a short walk thru the Latin Quarter in the afternoon. There is no group dinner tonight so it would probably work well to schedule it for 4PM or later if you want to see the city lights (depends on what time of year you are going.).
Day 3 you have dinner together and a Seine cruise. Day 4 you have a Louvre visit later in the afternoon...sometimes I think they schedule this for 4P but it may change depending on the tour. Day 5 is Versailles which is a full day there. Day 6 is another possibility but to me it would depend on where you are staying. IF you are in Hotel Londres Eiffel, you could easily do the ET in the afternoon and get back to the hotel in time to meet the group to go to your farewell dinner.
I honestly would probably try to arrive the day before although if you are just flying from Iceland there should be enough flights that if one is delayed or cancelled they can still put you on another flight to get there before the tour starts. I would try to book the earliest reasonable flight from Iceland to Paris. I always feel bad for people who miss the welcome dinner due to flights having gone awry.
Thanks Pam! Will make ET booking for day 2 late afternoon. We are going in mid-May. Our flight departs KEF 7:40 am. We do immigration there, so will save time at CDG. Flight arrives 1:05. Fingers crossed all goes on schedule.
Oh good. By mid-May you will have a lot of daylight!
