Eiffel Tower Tips

Hi -

I'm going to Paris with family (including elementary aged kids) end of May through June and have been trying to book Summit tickets for the first part of our trip, but haven't had any luck. They have been sold out the last week with one exception - as part of a tour in French. I thought I'd wait for an English option, but now I'm wondering...

Is the Summit worth it? There are ample 2nd Floor tickets, so wondering if I should book that as a Plan B. I had also read that more Summit tickets are released 7 days before reservation day, but I'm a planner and concerned waiting and missing out on all ticket options - except for the same day in person options.

Thank you for any advice! :)

Most tickets for the ET including the cheap tickets (those that don't require buying champagne) are released at 1 pm Paris time exactly 7 days out. This is when MOST tickets are released.

With kids I'd definitely opt for the top. And another option is to walk up to level two and then take the elevator to the top. Those tickets are sold from a different line that the elevator tickets and the wait is usually not long -- it could be a plan B if walking is an option. You buy the walk up ticket and then an add on elevator ticket for the top.

If you purchase tickets for the Summit, you must wait in a second line on the second level for the elevator. We walked up to the second level (72, 73), loved the exercise and the view was grand. Did not need to wait, no line for walking up and not many people do it.
