We arrive from at Gare du Nord from London at 9:47am on August 25. What is the earliest we would be able to make it to the Eiffel Tower? We will only have a backpack so no luggage. We want to purchase a timed ticket the day they go on sale. Thanks for your help.

From looking at the Eiffel Tower site, earliest time starts at 1100. However, may want to give yourself some time to travel to tower.

Tickets go on sale approx 90 days prior, so start checking site towards the end of may for your specific day. Also, check on site for any sort of restrictions to have with you for visit (backpack).

Even if you by your tickets ahead of time for the tower, you still need to go through one level of security before being on the grounds. Those lines can get long. I would not buy for anytime before 12

Your Backpacks could most definitely be an issue for you visiting the Eiffel Tower
Many of the sites in Paris were not backpack friendly, a shoulder style messenger bag of the same size no problem but not a backpack. I cannot recall the Eiffel Tower security rules but something you should look into especially if your backpacks are sizeable.

Thanks for the responses. Will probably take a taxi and get the 12pm tickets to ensure enough time. Our backpack is just a small backpack for a camera and items for the day so it won't be an issue.
