Has anybody else experienced this? I'm trying to book for March 22 and the site isn't functioning. Is this common? Any tips on this?
Thanks!
I have seen this happen from time to time but for March, the chances of inclement weather are ever present and crowds are minimal. I wouldn´t worry about purchasing tickets in advance for March. Tickets for a summer visit are a different matter and should be obtained as soon as they become available.
This problem happened to me. I would successfully get the tickets into my "cart" (I was doing practice runs well before the date on which I actually needed to make my purchase), but the cart would go empty when I hit "confirm". I e-mailed the Eiffel Tower regarding this issue and they advised me to switch to a different browser. I switched from Google Chrome to MS Internet Explorer and was then able to easily make my purchase. It should be easy to install IE if you don't have it. Just do a search for the IE website and then follow their instructions for downloading and installing IE. You can still keep your original browser for everyday use if you want, as long as you don't opt to have IE be your default browser when prompted to do so.
Great suggestion. I tried switching to Internet Explorer, went through the process and it still comes up with an error message and suggests I try again later. I will, of course, try again later and tomorrow and I will definitely try using I.E.
I can hear my I.T. friend telling me to try this solution in the past too.
Thanks!
Sometimes I've found it helps to switch to a different type of computer (tablet vs. laptop vs. desktop). That has happened to me when trying to buy tickets to an event in the US. It's very annoying.
I booked last week for my trip in April.
