Eiffel Tower tickets for 10am or 5:30pm please?

Hi!

We were hoping for the 8pm entry slot but it is sold out for our dates in August. Can someone please advise if we are better to go with 10am (first available) or a 5:30pm entry time please? Thank you so much!

I would advise that if you see ANY tickets available online that match your dates in Paris - you had better buy them asap.

I visited around 10 am on a Tuesday last year and thought it was perfect--not yet crowded, could move around the levels easily, no line for toilet, food, or to buy a ticket to the summit.

By buying a ticket to the summit, do you get to go ahead of the ppl in line for the elevator? I read on one forum that if you don't have summit tix, you can buy them on the 2nd level. If that's true, why do they always sell out on the website? I guess I'm not understanding the process.

There's no direct ticket to the summit, you have to go to the 2nd level first. I have a ridiculous fear of heights so thought I'd start with the 2nd and that felt perfectly fine so I bought the supplemental to go to the summit--and the only way I got there was with my eyes closed in the lift--and I was not the only one! Fine once on the platform but watching the ascent wasn't happening. One of my best Paris memories so glad I pushed myself.
