Eiffel tower tickets delayed 6/17 and following

I went to look at the Eiffel Tower and saw this message. Does anyone know more about this? Or what is "JOP"?

On sale – Summer 2024 including JOP
Exceptionally, tickets for visits from June 17 will go on sale later (instead of going on sale on D-60).
No tickets for this summer (JOP period included) are currently on sale, do not buy from sites offering such offers.
Visit our site regularly.

JOP refers to the Olympic Games, aka Jeux Olympiques Paris.

Good luck!

I also was looking to purchase tickets for the 17th of June and now it shows there are none available, even thought they have not even gone on sale yet. The website isn’t giving any specific information as to when sales open up. Very frustrating. I am setting an alarm each day for midnight Paris time (6pm EST) until sales open back up and hoping I won’t miss anything. The Olympics aren’t even until August, so it seems strange that they would close sales this early.

A small correction : the Olympics start in late July.

Anyway they will be closing down at least part of the Champs de Mars something like June 3 to finish the build out of the beach volleyball stadium that will be sited between the Eiffel Tower and École Militaire. Beach Volleyball starts on July 27, the day after the opening ceremony, and runs through August 10, the day before the closing ceremony.

Even if all is normal, tickets for 6/17 won't be released until Paris midnight 6/18. (so 6:00 pm Eastern today)

Also:
- First set your computer to Paris' time zone.
- Check both at midnight and again at 4:45 am Paris time, when more are released.
- More tickets are released 1 week in advance at 1:00 pm Paris time.
- You can wait in line the day of.

We'll see you in that line it it looks like, because every time I check online (I've been practicing for days) there are only a few time slots available and they aren't times we can do. Trying again today!

Oh interesting! just checked, and now tickets for 6/10 and on will be available later. So 6/10 available at midnight (Paris time) tonight, and the 6/16 tickets I want will be available from 4/24. Yay! Another chance!

?? I think the 6/18 is a typo

Yes, you are right; I apologize. I meant 4/18 (not 6/18).

But since all is NOT normal with the Olympics, tickets for 6/17 are now to be released 4/25 per the ticketing website.

Tickets for Eiffel tower appear to be a hot mess right now. I am attempting to buy for June and several times I have gotten up at midnight ready for them to go on sale only for the date to go from "on sale" to "sold out" within 1 min. But then the next morning....they have them as "not yet on sale" like they pushed the tickets out another week. And this keeps happening. I was going to get up at midnight tonight to try to get tickets and then I see this morning...they bumped the on sale date again. So trying to plan, plot or find any system seems to be impossible right now. If anyone has any insights or suggestions - it would be greatly appreciated.

I think it all has to do with the venues they are preparing around the Eiffel Tower and Champ de Mars for the Olympics. I don't know that there will ever be any clarity. One day tickets may show up -- or not.

@Amy:

Oh nooo....I looked yesterday and I could get June 16 tickets today (midnight Paris), but seeing your post I checked again and now it's midnight the 14 May, the day we LAND in Europe from California and I'll be totally jetlagged! #1stworld problems

But you're right; it's been happening for weeks and will probably get pushed out again.

And it looks like checking a week out at 13:00 Paris time still makes sense. I just checked a week out from today, and there are plenty of times available for a party of 5 to take the lifts to the Summit.

Please let us know if anyone finds additional information. I've read it will be open during the Olympics except for the Friday of Opening Ceremonies. I'm trying to book for the Saturday 27-July and keep checking the site as well. Thank you for starting this post :)
