Eiffel Tower ticket

I'm planning my itinerary for a trip in October to Paris. If the sun sets at 7 pm in October, and I want to see the view in both daylight and evening, would a 5:30 ticket be the best choice? I'm not sure how long it would take to get to the top, or even the 2nd floor if I decide to only buy that ticket. Thanks.

That would work. We think the view from the Trocadero metro station overlooking the river is incredible when the strobe lights start up about dark.

Thanks, David. I'm hoping to have locations and directions figured out before my last night in Paris to try your suggestion. I thought it would make more sense to go to the Eiffel near the end of my trip, although my hotel is very near so I could visit whenever. I think I read about the Trocadero station in Rick's Paris 2019 book, which I just read beginning to end. I have only cherry-picked through his books before, but discovered much more information by reading all of it. A decision about cooking/baking class is next. Thanks!
