Hello - I'm looking for some insights into the ticket line for the stairs at the Eiffel Tower. Does the stairs ticket line have it's own line? If it does not have it's own ticket line, how bad is the wait?

There's a separate ticket office that sells tickets for climbing the stairs. When my wife and I climbed the stairs to the second level in May 2011 it was much shorter than the line for tickets for elevators...maybe 5 or 10 minutes. We bought tickets for the elevator to the top on the second level.
