Eiffel Tower Sept Tickets Available

I've been following the Eiffel Tower official site to open up the availability of tickets for September. FINALLY saw it available today. Now I can't decide if I really want to get the tickets ahead, or just wait and walk the steps to the second level. Any thoughts. We are in good physical condition ( I sound like we are a car. Lol!) and realize we may have some wait for this line, but from what I've read maybe not that long a wait, and if we go later in the day it might not be bad either, and depending on the weather, if we don't have the advance tickets we can maybe work around the weather, unless of course it rains every day....thoughts please?

It's your own personal preference. We really enjoyed having reservations for 30 minutes before sunset, so we could go up immediately to be up there to watch the sunset & have photos of day/evening.

fa da... I am NOT in great shape and I managed stairs.. its up to you.. don't stress too much about it.. do remember if you buy tickets and its rainy or foggy.. oh well.. not much view that day.. so leaving it open has its advantages..

Yes, Pat, I have thought about the weather. I think we will probably try to go later in the day and climb. We will look at the weather. But, if we decide to climb, do you know how late you can climb up the tower? I guessing it's pretty lit?

This topic is old, so you've probably resolved it. The tower lighting is beautiful from a distance, but might be quite bright when you're there.

tickets are available for about 5 minutes once they come on line so if you don't jump when they appear, the decision will be made for you.

Yes...I think we've decided to take the stairs....that way we can decide to go whenever...My concern was how late you can go up and down the stairs...I posted questions regarding that on a different post.
