Eiffel Tower's top floor closed in January...

Dear travelers,

I just came across this information found on the Eiffel Tower's official website:

Please note that the top floor will be completely closed from 9 to 27 January inclusive due to building work.

May you enjoy the company of loved ones during this holiday season & may the New Year bring Peace in the world...

No tragedy. The second floor is the best and the first is better than the top, especially since the new glass floors.

Jen,

My daughter & I actually enjoyed going to the summit! I agree, the best views are from the second level, but it's quite a different experience going to the very top.

The last time I'd visited Paris, I could only go to the second level, due to weather conditions, so I wanted to experience going to the summit this time around.

Happy Holidays!

Add to that just 5 minutes ago I went to the ET website to see if I could purchase my March Spring Break tix to the top - the official website says currently selling tix thru February, but March tix will be available later. Ignoring those instructions I went through the steps and successfully purchased my March Spring Break tix to the top.

In other words - don't believe everything you read on the ET official website:-)

Tim,

I actually tried to "buy" tickets (to the summit) for different dates between January 9- 27, however, they are only available to the second level, so this part of the notice may be true ;-)

Regarding the notice about March tickets not being available now...

One can certainly buy tickets now, up to March 20, (as of today).

ET tickets are usually available 92 days in advance....But I'm sure you already knew this ;-)

Enjoy your trip in March!
