My husband and I are taking the RS Best of Paris tour in a couple of months and will have an extra day at the end of the tour. We are trying to decide whether to purchase Eiffel Tower tickets. I am very afraid of heights and don't enjoy observation decks, so there's no reason to go up in the Tower for that purpose. But are there exhibits and other things worth seeing inside? How long should we allow for a visit? At this point tickets are still available on the day we would visit.

The top of the tower is primarily an open air observation deck. There’s only a small indoor space on top. The view is amazing but your fear of heights may kick in. However the lower levels may work for you and that’s where they have exhibits and shops. Read all about it on the official website description where you can also buy tickets.
And, you can see the tower for free without going up into it! There’s a lovely picnic spot in the nearby park.
