Stayed up to book tickets for Sept. 3rd. Went on sale 25 minutes ago. I'm getting very frustrated! Won't accept my cellular phone # (required field). Says it is incorrect format. I have tried all combinations of my Canadian phone number with spaces, without spaces, with hyphens, without hypens, with a "1" in front, without. Help!
Did you try "01" or "+1"?
Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried 01, +1, spaces every 2 numbers, etc. Rick Steves says to call Canada from Europe you dial 011, then country code and number. No such luck! I've even tried using a B&B phone # for France, England etc. Nothing works, just keeps saying the format is incorrect. I guess I will have to wait until Monday morning (in Paris) and call for help. I see they charge .35 euros per minute?
I just did a mock booking and used:
+1##########
the numbers being your 10 digit mobile # - no spaces
it worked fine
Thank You, success! +1 with no spaces worked. I was sure I tried that last night, but obviously trying to navigate that late at night didn't work well for me!
Glad it worked! Enjoy!
ON these things they don't even care if it is your phone number, it is to create a unique ID and has to conform in digits and spaces; this is true of lots of sites that require it -- just find a 10 digit thing you can remember and use that.
I was originally planning on visiting the ET on the last day of our BOP tour this coming September, but when looking at the pre trip information tips, it was noted that "day 2 after 530pm" was a time that would work to visit the ET while on the tour. I was going to get up VERY early this weekend to get my 90 day out reserved tickets, but decided to look at the official ET site for "day 2" of our tour, which is a Monday. To my delightful surprise the 8PM time was available and I decided to book it. I've read many posts on the difficulty of getting tickets, especially in the evening. My guess is that Monday evening is a slower time and waiting to go on the weekend might have proved unsuccessful. I am thrilled this worked out and proves that planning in advance (I'm an obsessive planner) is a good idea! I am thankful for this particular post and Christi's direction in using a +1 and my cell number when purchasing the tickets, as it worked like a charm. Thanks for the tip!
