I want to go to the Eiffel Tower in July. I am going to buy my tickets online for an 8:00 p.m. entrance. How long will I have to wait in line before I can enter the Eiffel Tower?

You have to clear perimeter security; I would leave half an hour for that. Once inside go to your tower leg (you can see which one is used for those with reservations) about 15 minutes from your time slot. You will be up fairly quickly. We went up a bit before our time, but on a nice sunny day with lots of people, you might have to wait for an elevator load or two. Note that once on the second floor you have to line up with everyone else for the ride to the top and that can easily take an hour or more.
