Can anyone tell me how the lines to the Eiffel tower are in winter, more specifically March?
We have been unable to purchase tickets online, sold out, and are wondering is worth the extra money to pay for a skip the line tour package?

As of our most recent trip in September of 2016 the security fences and check point lines have become a problem. I don't believe there is any way you can skip these lines anymore. However, if anyone in your group is handicapped they do make special efforts to rapidly accommodate people in wheel chairs. The French are amazingly kind in that respect.

I don't know how long the lines will be in March, but I think I remember reading that the lines may be shorter at night.
Another option is to buy the tickets for taking the stairs up, the line is usually shorter, but take into account that there are
many, many stairs!
