Appears to be more than one organization offering advance tickets and skip-to-a-head-of-the-line. Suggestions appreciated as to who is a legitimate online sellar of tickets and is the skip ahead of the line worth it?
the best way to do this is to book tickets on line with the Eiffel Tower itself not some middleman; you do this 90 days out. The behind the scenes tour is the one most people seem to recommend if they have not done this and need a tour.
I have tickets for October that I got on line by booking myself.
Hi Chuck, use the official ET website (http://www.toureiffel.paris/en/preparing-your-visit/buying-your-tickets.html) to purchase tickets in advance - 90 days in advance at 2:30 am (Eastern). They sell out very quickly. I got tickets for May this year and they sold out in 20 minutes.
If you miss the deadline, try a behind the scenes tour. I've used Get Your Guide tours (http://www.getyourguide.com/paris-l16/exclusive-behind-the-scenes-tour-at-the-eiffel-tower-t2669/) twice and thought it was worth it. You get a one hour tour with a guide explaining the history, and taking you down to see the inner workings of the elevator system. It's pretty cool. Then you skip the lines and take the elevator to the second floor. The guide leaves, and you can spend as much time as you want on the Tower. If you want to go to the third floor (summit), there is another short line to purchase tickets. I thought it was well worth the few extra dollars.
Does anyone have experience with Cultivar?
I have been planning and waiting for the September tickets for a "behind the scenes tour" to become available. I've even emailed them to see when this might happen.
The site is booking only to 8/31/15. Now I'm worried that I've missed out.

Bummer, we are limited on options for days to visit the Eifel Tower, August 11th. I had no idea we had to book 90 days in advance. Any alternatives appreciated for finding tickets?
I was making similar inquiries and got a great amount of help on the topic. Here is the thread.

My husband and I got to the tower at 800am and got in line to purchase tickets-elevator. We were on the elevator up to the top by 915am. I wouldn't have gotten in line past 830 as it had gotten long by then. We felt very lucky!
