I will be staying Eguisheim for two nights in sept. I will have a car. where is the best place to park in Colmar??? Or is it better to use bus service into and back from Colmar???

Parking will be pay. There is a lot by the train station and one on the north side of the old city near the Unterlinden Museum.

Should be frequent bus service to Colmar train station. We took the bus to Kaysersberg and back from the train station.
Edit- Maybe not that frequent. Look at line 440.

I parked in a fairly large lot on the edge of the old town center. It was a little tricky the lot was divided into 2 sections, one for permit-holders, another for everyone else (a local explained it to me in the lot) and payment by machine. I believe there are other lots as well. I spent only a few hours in Colmar, mostly I visited other places - villages, a castle, Monkey Mountain, ate dinner in Eguisheim (3 evenings) and didn't have to worry about driving home after wine with dinner.
Edit: The train station is a hike to/from the historic center. After 7 pm street parking is free, though there aren't a lot of spots.
