Eating in the Marais District

What is a place in the Marais for a French style meal that isn’t too expensive. We are a group of 10 and some want to try escargot.
We are staying at the Crown Plaza in Republique square.

You don’t say when you are going, but certainly, for a large party you will want to make reservations plenty of time in advance. We ate at Les Philosophies, it was good. We never had a bad meal in our 2 weeks in Paris!

In 2009 we ate at Les Bougresses and really liked it. Ate there twice. Very friendly owners who spoke English. I don't remember it being full of tourists. The lamb chops were memorable. I think they had a 3-course menu, as well as a la carte.

Most of the restaurants in the Marais are small and unlikely able to seat 10.

I might recommend Bofinger, reserve as early as you can, at least 4 to 5 days in advance. No idea if it's too expensive or not, but they do serve snails.
