Early Flight Transportation

I have a 7:10 am flight from Paris to Dublin this summer. I need to get from Le Marais to CDG for the flight. I usually use SuperShuttle but the latest pickup time to get from Le Marais to CDG is 3:15 am. That seems excessively early for a 7:10 flight. Although some morning rush hour traffic may be a consideration, I would assume most of the traffic should be heading in the opposite direction (i.e. into Paris.) How much time should I allow to get to CDG from Le Marais on a Monday morning? There is a taxi stand close by, in front of the St. Paul Metro, and if they are set up by 4:30 a.m. I was thinking that might be my best/easiest option. I will only have a carry-on. I appreciate your thoughts and suggestions.

I never leave anything to chance, i.e. a shuttle, for such an early morning flight. I call for a taxi at the time I'm ready to go, wouldn't count on the taxi stand. I left Paris at 5 a.m. on a Sunday, can't help you on that question.

I would ask your hotel reception to book a taxi for you, as they will have an existing relationship with the taxi firm and the firm will be less likely to let them down.

I appreciate everyone's advice. I will be in Paris for 2 months, staying in an apartment. I am taking a side trip to Ireland and have never flown out this early (7 a.m.) I have the G7 English-speaking taxi service listed under contacts on my phone, but have never used them. This might be the time to try reserving with them. I will make sure to call a few weeks ahead.

I have used G7 at all times of day for about 20 years. They are 100 percent reliable, where shuttle services are not. I usually book a couple of days in advance by phone.

It doesn't sound like it would be hard to find out if the close by taxi stand is operational at 4:30 a.m. You needn't get up that early to see for yourself, but I've learned exactly this kind of information just by asking the drivers who are there at a more convenient hour. If your French isn't very good, I would bet that you can find one of the drivers in line who speaks English. Personally, that kind of reconnaissance is more satisfying to me than relying on someone else's relationship with the taxi company.
That being said, it sounds as if others have had very good experiences with G7, so that seems like a safe option.

Just call G7 the day before. It will be an additional 7 euros for the reservation in advance, plus the 50 euros for the trip to the airport.

Taxi stands rarely have taxis in Paris. One exception is the Bastille stand and there may be others. But we have spent months in Paris and the taxi stands near us in various districts NEVER have waiting taxis. If we stand there, one may spot us passing by and stop but never rely on that when an airport trip is needed. There are occasions when cabs are not available for airport runs in the morning. We always book these the night before with G7, pay the 7 Euro reservation fee, and have never been disappointed.

Shuttles are particularly unreliable and I would never chance on them for a trip TO the airport.

I can't speak about all taxi stand in Paris, nor about 4:30 a.m. availability, but we walked short distances to taxi stands to get to CDG on our last two trips to Paris. We noticed that there were always taxis lined up at La Tour-Maubourg metro station (7 arr) and on rue Jean Rey (15 arr). Both times I verified with drivers in advance that I could get a taxi there on the morning we were leaving, then jumped right in when it was time for us to go.
Nevertheless, I think our original poster would do well to call G7.
